Construction Project Manager for Falun

The Service Administration owns, builds, and manages properties in the municipality and is a provider of internal service functions. We provide services in local supply, property management, cleaning, meal service, caretaking, vehicles, and mail handling.

As a construction project manager, we can offer you:

• Construction projects driven in various types of contract forms.
• Focus on energy-efficient and sustainable construction.
• We have many ongoing construction projects in different phases and even more are planned for the coming years. The investment framework is between 400 – 500 million SEK annually for the coming years. The size of the projects currently varies in amounts between 5 million - 275 million SEK.
• Project management of construction projects for all municipal administrations. Many different types of projects, such as preschools, primary schools, universities, care homes, group homes, cultural venues. Both new constructions and renovations occur.
• In addition to close collaboration with other project managers, there is support and expertise in the form of knowledgeable colleagues in fire safety, HVAC, electrical, and alarm systems within our organization.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will drive projects from feasibility study to handover, and you are responsible for quality, budget, and schedule. The role includes managing multiple projects simultaneously, which requires you as a project manager to work systematically and structured. In the early stages, you will work in close dialogue with relevant operations to ensure that the organization receives suitable premises. You lead and coordinate all activities through design, procurement, and construction phases, ultimately handing over to our operations and management organization, allowing you to follow your completed projects for a long time ahead.

In addition to contacts with contractors, tenants, and operations, there will also be dialogue and presentations for politicians in the municipality. Significant collaboration and exchange occur with colleagues within your department as well as other sections within the administration.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Education from a university or equivalent and relevant industry experience, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You enjoy collaborating with others and are an important cog in a trust-building work climate. Clear, concise, and structured communication is a prerequisite for being successful in this position. Since you will have many different projects ongoing simultaneously, you need to be outgoing with a high drive and possess an analytical, methodical, and systematic working approach.

Desirable Qualifications

• We consider it an advantage if you have experience from projects in the size range of 50 million SEK and larger. We prefer that you have experience from the construction contracting or consulting industry.
• Good experience in project economics, project management, and design management.
• Knowledge of contract law.
• Certified in BAS-P and BAS-U.
• Experience in procurement according to LOU.
• Worked with fire safety design.

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment, with start date according to agreement.
